Rules & Regulations

  1. All students must complete an enrolment form and sign a Covid agreement plan on starting with Star Dance. It is your responsibility to notify us of any changes to emergency contacts, medical conditions and changes of contact details. 

  2. After your initial trial class, you are committed to a full term and ALL classes must be paid for using one of the payment plans on your invoice. Missed classes must be paid for. NO EXCEPTIONS.   

  3. If your child wishes to stop attending a class after our start date, you are still liable to continue payments for that class until the end of term. Please inform us in writing that your child no longer attends that class so that you are not billed for the following term. As much as I hate to see any child leave us, I completely understand that children like to try a variety of sports and hobbies. So please notify me of any changes. 

  4. After leaving Star Dance, please pay any money owed beforehand. Three attempts will be made to contact you after that before the debt is passed on to our finance collecting firm. 

  5. Uniform is ordered through www.rockthedragon.co.uk (Link is on the website) You are required to wear full Star Dance uniform to all classes after your first term with us. Before then sportswear such as leggings and a t-shirt can be worn with trainers or pumps. Hair must be tied up neatly for all classes and no jewellery is to be worn. Appropriate footwear includes jazz shoes, jazz trainers, ballet shoes (see uniform guidelines) or trainers. Please no shoes with heels, boots, sandals or jelly shoes are to be worn for safety reasons and also to protect our studio flooring.

  6. Payments must be made by your child's 1st class of term. Bank transfer details will be on the invoice sent to you and also on my contact details form you received on starting Star Dance. Please keep safe for future reference. Cash payments can be taken as long as the right money is put into a sealed envelope with your child's name clearly written on the front.  

  7. If you child is going to miss a class, please notify Sarah by message at least 1 hour before class starts on 07857216243.

  8. All students must be picked up by an appropriate adult unless a consent form has been signed. I will not be able to let a child leave unless I have a consent form signed by the parent.  

  9. Star Dance has a strict policy regarding bullying – it will NOT be tolerated. Neither will disrespectful behaviour or bad language to staff or pupils. Star Dance should be a fun, friendly and inclusive environment for all. 

  10. Rude or abusive behaviour from parents to staff or other Star Dance members will also not be tolerated. Please refrain from using bad language in the building, the car park and surrounding area.

  11. Students bring a bottle of non-fizzy drink to each class. No snacks are permitted unless stated. Please refrain from bringing anything valuable to classes as we do not have lockers. 

  12.  Children will be collected and dropped off to the car park entrance. Should you need to contact any of the teachers please message or call us and we will endeavour to contact you as soon as possible. Parents are not permitted to watch lessons unless otherwise discussed with Sarah and the teachers.

  13. Children are encouraged to practice stretching and exercising between class 100's of videos can be found on our YouTube channel (please request link of find it on the Star Dance Parents page).
